80/80 Starts okay honestly but after you collect all 4 souls it is a fucking shitshow

Area Progression is nonsensical and sometimes downright dumb

Very few memorable areas

Bosses almost all sucked. Dukes Dear Freja and the Scorpioness were alright but most of them sucked. The final boss sucked. Completely missed getting the SotFS boss because you need to get the giant souls just to damage Vendrick even though there is fuck all indication of that

Hitboxes are really stupid in this game, a couple enemies would damage you when they had no right to and some attacks later in the game would basically cut above your shield and render it useless. God help anyone that didn't invest in ADP

Also literally ADP

fuck off with splitting Vigor or whatever from Endurance

Dark Souls 3 continues that but the level scaling makes it much harder to level both

No, I guess I still can but I am too fucking drained. I honestly just don't think I have it in me. Unless it is story related to 3 then I don't think I care.

I've never had much difficulty balancing things out. Granted, DS3 is the only game that I feel comfortable dropping Endurance down to 30 for the completed 120-125 build due to how they Bloodborne'd up rolling stamina cost.

Still better than III and Bloodborne. Arguably better than Demon's Souls, but only because World/Character Tendency ruined it.

Eh... in some areas, maybe.

and Bloodborne.

Lmao!

Bloodborne's quality shits on 2 hundred-fold.

In terms of PvP. I'd rather have gun spam than whatever the shit Dark Souls 2 barfed out.

That's it?

World Tendency was bittersweet but was highly rewarding for those who've done their research and know what to look for. Fuck, even the graphics look phenomenal compared to 2.

The only things that 2 has was going for it was sprinting up ladders, spell variety, and connectivity and other shit I don't care to remember.

DSII DLC bosses were pretty hard, I beat one of the three though which was the Iron King boss. Remember regular enemies taking a minute or two so I didn't beat the rest. I am probably going to finish them shortly though.

DLC for Dark Souls 2 is actually pretty good and worth a try.

-Best PvP and covenant setup in the series (bell tower and Rat King arenas, etc.)
-Most amount of content in the series, especially counting DLC/SotFS
-Most build variety in the series (armor, weapons, spells, powerstancing)
-Despawning enemies. Hated it at first, but it helps clear paths to bosses. Also remedied by Ascetics.
-iirc, enemy placement changes up in NG+ cycles

There was definitely a lot to dislike too though; won't deny that. Just less than III, BB, and DeS imo.

If you didn't have to play offline to control it properly, sure.

But you did, so no.

Darkwood Forest ALONE blows both of those areas out of the water. Rat King invasions could be bypassed by playing offline, and has no real purpose but to serve as an optional area with weak rewards. Bell Tower area bored me by being both the invader and invadee. It was executed numbingly. Not saying that 1's covenants were perfect, but Gravelord, Forest, Darkwraiths, and Darkmoon covenants did their part in the game that remain the most active covenants to date.

He'll, the PvP is still alive despite being years older than 2, and it oozes of depth compared to what 2's watered down combat brought.

I agree, but a lot of it was just there for being there. They shifted their focus of quality for quantity.

-Most build variety in the series (armor, weapons, spells, powerstancing)

What good is any of that if your character moves like a constipated mime, and if the controls are unresponsive, if the attire looks goddawful (cat leggings, Smelter ass head, butterfly set, etc), movesets are limpwristedly wonky, and the overall visual aesthetics look like they spawned out of a b-grade N64 title?

-Despawning enemies. Hated it at first, but it helps clear paths to bosses. Also remedied by Ascetics.

Also subjective, but I can see both sides of this.

-iirc, enemy placement changes up in NG+ cycles

I agree, I hated that 3 didn't carry that over. That game desperately needed way more content and reasons to play than what it currently has now.

There was definitely a lot to dislike too though; won't deny that. Just less than III, BB, and DeS imo.

I disagree wholeheartedly

Personally, I'd rank them like this:

Dark Souls for both pvp/pve > Demon's Souls PvP/pve > Bloodborne pve > Dark Souls 3 co-op > Dark Souls 3 PvP > bb PvP >>> 2 in everything, but connectivity.

We both agree to disagree, I guess.
