I don't even know why I post half the time cuz people can't ever just agree without arguing. Firearms is way down the list and thats with grouping things up before it. And a good portion of firearms stolen are ones incidentally found and not knoen to be there. One thing not listed which is hugely stolen also is lawnmowers and copper (unless this falls under jewelry). Lawnmowers generally don't require entry into the home however.

I googled it too, and basically every link except this one lists firearms in the top items, and this one STILL puts it at #8.

Strong work.

You probably just arent seperating robberies from burglaries.

Honestly a guard dog seems like an overall better investment than a gun.

A gun can only protect you if you're there... and awake enough to get your gun and load it in time if someone's robbing you in the middle of the night.

A dog isn't as easily dealt with. An unarmed burglar probably isn't going to want to mess with an animal that can literally rip their throat out if need be. An armed burglar? Well that's more of a warning you'd get if you only had a gun on you. >_>

If you have to LOAD your gun you are an idiot. I can almot argue if you have one not in the chamber already you're an idiot, but definitely if it isn't loaded....

I hope to god someone takes away your guns.

If you are an armed assailant in the time it takes me to

What type of stats? Cause there are a variety on both.

I usually conceal, because I do know some people do legit get freaked out by a gun, and I don't want to do that to people. But I do like KY is open carry, so that if I'm not wearing clothes condusive sp to concealed I can just holster up and be fine.

I said normal burglars try to avoid houses that put up signs that state they have guns. It is a deterrent and a normal thing for a normal burglar to simply avoid to minimize risk.

Then they tried arguing burglars specifically try to rob houses with guns for some reason though every single link has guns far down the list of normal stolen items by a large margin. (Literally running out of items to steal to be above it).

I never said a burglar would not take a gun. I said most guns stolen are incidental from finding a gun in a house that they did not know had them.
