In the Darkside of Dimensions movie (written by the original author as a follow up to the manga) Tea is about to leave the country to become a dancer or something. So it's sort of brought up again. >_>

If yall haven't seen it, catch it on Redbox or something. Everything you loved about YuGiOh is ten times greater, and everything you hated about YuGiOh is ten times sillier.

Also Kaiba is basically his abridged version with how obsessive and maniacal he acts in it. It's pretty hilarious. <_<

Kaiba's character arc is dedicated to re-summoning the Pharoh because in the manga, he wasn't present in the final arc and didn't get to say goodbye to his husbando. You do get to see Yami, voiced in all his glorious hamminess by Dan Green. But it's a glorified wet dream of Kaiba.

As for whether or not Yami actually comes back. That would be a spoiler. :P

He does. For like five minutes. Because plot.

Also Shadi is relevant somehow. Didn't see that one coming.

Not really. It's mostly new Blue Eyes and Magician cards. The villain uses some weird archetype called "cubics". But they got that crazy, dark, occult looking aesthetic the cards used to have before Konami turned everything into dragons and anime characters >_>

Rex hasn't won anything except getting 2nd place in a tournament losing to weevil.

And it must have been a tourney of scrubs because the crowd was hyped about his two headed king rex 1600 atk.

Lost to weevil, mai, joey, espa roba. Not sure about later seasons.

Kaiba summoning Obelisk The Tormentor is one the greatest and hammiest moments of the entire movie. He really does go full Abridged.
