Chocobo seem more like pets and I would want my freedom. Moogle have an entire network where they communicate often. I've beaten the game maybe 10-15 times in my entire life. The series isn't trying to break the mold with any ridiculous new gameplay gimmicks. It's straight forward with difficulty settings (this way you get a good challenge). What I like is Trails in the Sky has three games and Trails of Cold Steel has two (I think there may be a third for PS4). Definitely worth it, imo. There's another poster on CE who talks about that series a lot. I think it's Leana. Yep. I think it was a while ago but I saw her mention the series. Each game seems to be around 60-70 hours, which I personally do prefer. I bought Trails of the Sky (there are three in this series and I got the first) on steam and I really like both. Trails of Cold Steel (I finished the first game) is really fun. Without spoiling anything, it has elements of other fun games. It worked out but idk if I will again. I always want to use vivi but he seems to be outclassed toward the end.
