DS1 was reviewed by Keza MacDonald, DS2 was reviewed by Marty Silva. Two different reviewers, so I'm not sure what your point is exactly. Unless you're one of those people that thinks IGN is one person.

Every review site has multiple reviewers, and they're different human beings with different opinions. This is how reviews work. They don't need to be "consistent" with each other, they're not the fucking Borg.

DS2 was the second best in the Souls/BB series, but it still was nowhere near as good as DS1.
