I'm very anti-war, but I would have jumped in. Hitler's was an extremely oppressive regime, but he made it obvious by 1939 that he wasn't going to stop. With hindsight knowledge of the holocaust, it slides from a probably to a definitely. My granddad fought in 24th Battalion and was captured at Ruweisat Ridge, and though he died before I was born, I'm proud of the immense personal sacrifice he made.
