Get comfortable with cycling through weapons as you need them. Even if you get some badass +60 sword, don't hold on to it just in case. Just use it >_> You'll trip over another one later

Don't get hung up on weapons, even good ones. You'll soon find you have more good weapons that slots.

For the first 2 "level ups" pick stamina. It has waaaaay more utility than health.

Don't rush into big brawls immediately. Explore a shit ton. Use fire on your wooden weapons at first because it inflicts a lot of damage and slows down enemies.

It's really fucking fun.

If something looks like it could be a fun experiment, try it. Much of the real joy in the game is your own creativity being realised.

Also, as others have said, don't get precious about weapons.

mark down shit on maps.

Any time you come across a talus, hinox, stalnox, molduga, guardian stalker, or lynel, mark the fucking thing down on your map.

any time you come across an area filled with tons of ore nodes, mark the fucking thing down.

any time you come across "Major test of strength" shrine, mark the fucking thing down.

any time you think you find something remotely interesting and would want to find it again, mark it down.

If you're one of those "have to get everything in the game" then you're in for a looooong ride buddy.

Like others said, don't try to hoard weapons. There's plenty of good ones out there so don't fret about saving them. You're going to end up always saving them and continually use your lesser weapons and have harder times fighting tougher enemies like guardians.

You need 13 hearts to get the master sword. Not gonna tell you where it is i'll leave that to you to find it. But when choosing between stam or hearts, just know you need 13 to get the MS, and you can always respec your hearts and stam for just 20 rupees a pop so it's not really that critical you make the correct choice.

Also you'll probably find a bunch of sapphires/rubies/topaz throughout, same with "ancient" materials like springs and gears and cores. Early in the game just sell them because they sell for a lot. I'd say rupees for getting your house and unlocking the great fairies are more important first than their other uses.

You can really just... do anything whenever and wherever you want. I'd still recommend that you save the bottom left guardian for last. It makes everything harder if you do it first, and it'll just be hard in general to do it first.

The bottomish right guardian will have the hardest dungeon puzzle, but if you want the challenge, you'll learn a lot about how the game's physics work from it. And the reward is probably one of the most useful skills in the game

If I have any suggestion, it would be to switch the HUD to pro mode. It removes everything form the screen except for yourself. All of the information that the HUD provided you will need to be accessed from the slate or understood through visual/audio cues. Similarly, remove the quest markers as well.

At least in my experience, it made the game a ton more immersive. I found myself paying much more attention to the world itself and to the instructions I was given for quests and destinations and the like.
