Why!!

I mean I love my current character. He's unique (A pacifist halfling barbarian who loves acrobatics and only wields a staff).

He has a cool backstory and is fun to play.

But look, seriously, I was freaking meant to play a bard.

I would make a great bard.

Bards are far more complex, with more spells, abilities, and I wouldn't have a freaking 9 int!!!!

I hate having a low int.

I love my character, but we are going to be playing this campaign for years, and......I wanna be a bard!!!!

And no, I'm not multiclassing my halfling barbarian into a bard lol...that is going to far even for me. He's super ugly (he's actually a stout halfling, half dwarf, but doesn't know it), with a 7 Cha, he went bear totem and grew another 2 inches (he was already 4"...which is HUGE for a halfling (part of why his cha is so low...he actually rolled a 9 but I made it a 7 with the DMs permission) and he is super hairy (looks kinda like a mini-bear).

He would be the worst ever bard, and I even like roleplaying characters that don't meet minimum stats for a class (like an 11 int wizard is so much fun, always looking for things that will boost his int and let him cast higher level spells etc).

So....no bard for me, unless I play with another group or something on another day I guess, or if I DM for our group a bit so our DM can get a chance to play (Then I could make a bunch of recurring characters:).

Pathfinder has a skald which is a barbarian bard hybrid.

Why don't you just make your character have an identity crisis and act like he has bard abilities for a bit? You know, have him play music and sing during combat like he's doing something. Could be fun for some laughs if the campaign isn't too serious.

Hes already pretty freaking complicated, multi-classing him would just be insane, and it wouldn't go with the characters theme at all (even if he had the cha for it, I think a 7 cha is a bit too low for a bard).

Nah, he'll be a fun char to play, I just would have rocked as a bard lol.

Take level of bard and then take a level of bear warrior(easy for barbarians to fit the prerequisites)

Then you can be a halfling sized bear that plays the banjo

I was actually thinking of playing a half-orc bard or even a troll bard (if the DM would let me play a troll), then using a shield + club and playing the drums on my shield with my club as a musical instrument.

You can cast shillilagh on a club and use your cha as your combat stat...which would totall rock.

Could really work out well;)
