It's owed in six months time. Well CE?

If you suddenly inherited $3000 of mystery debt you absolutely need to pay back 100% of in six months, no questions or loopholes asked, how much would this rock your world?

Hasn't happened to me or anybody I know, just morbidly curious how CE would survive if at all.

I could one shot it immediately, but I'd probably break it up into 3 installments of $1,000.

Anyone who can physically work can come up with that in 6 months.

Would of been a better question to ask for 10k

Some people make less than $20 an hour and have bills/rent/etc. Was curious to see the median reply, there are definitely people out there that can't do this without a second job or at all.

6 months?
I could pay it off in two and a half if I'm not allowed to dip into my savings.

We're talking about a debt - they have to live their daily lives (perhaps curtailing some expenditures) all the while paying off 3 grand in 6 months. You think the average American can do that? I admire your confidence.

I'm absolutely fine here. I'd pay it back before the deadline.
I'd survive, but it would cut into my savings and plans.

I mean, I could pay it right away. But obviously suddenly losing 3k will cut into savings. Or do you mean like RRSPs and the like and not just money in the bank? Yeah that would make more sense.

I mean, still effects things but yeah, could pay it off instantly.
