Ugh I was really disappointed when I found out that Sony is only renting Spiderman to Marvel and eventually they will have to give it back.

I plan on seeing it again.

I saw it twice, I liked it even more the second time

Apparently this is the second highest opening for a Spider-Man movie after Spider-Man 2's 151 mil opening.

But iirc Spider-Man 3 ended up selling the most long term for any Spider-Man movie so Homecoming could still end up being the highest grossing especially because of the insane positive reception its been getting.

As far as we know, though, Marvel gets to keep Spider-Man for the MCU indefinitely, and Marvel will be involved in all Spider-Man movies, since the villains franchise(Venom, Black Cat, etc etc) won't actually involve Spider-Man.

Yeah after the 3rd solo film it all goes back to Sony. I don't know why they insist on fucking shit up. Literally let Marvel handle all the movies and Sony will make easy money by doing nothing than approving an idea.

This is really sad. This spidey is already tracking way better than any of the Sony movies lol. Just let Marvel do their thing. Sony obviously is inept.

If Sony is willing to but considering how they've treated their success with PS4 and how they're willing to shit all over what people want, I wouldn't count my blessings.

Sony will hopefully renew their contract after the success of this movie. It has had a way bigger debut than the ASM movies.

And fire those producers behind SM3 and the ASM movies already. They're the reason why this has taken so long.
