So many of them are essentially "We asked for something they didn't offer, I couldn't believe they just didn't give it to me. 1/5 stars. Food was good but with service like this they're not getting my business!"

Like this fucking shoe review I just read:

I was so excited to hear about Undandy. My husband is a retired athlete and does not have the option of buying shoes off the rack, as he wears a size 16 (US). He loves beautiful shoes and clothes and must pay handsomely for bespoke in most cases because no one seems to make clothes or shoes in his size. He's also extremely fit, so it's not a fat issue. When we heard about Undandy, I went straight to the website and we immediately decided to order 6 pairs of shoes because we were in love with these CUSTOM shoes. Except for one thing, how do custom shoes only go up to a size 13 1/2?? This seems preposterous to me. I would love to be giving your shoes a 5 star review right now, because it looks like you guys are doing amazing work and turning out beautiful shoes, but we'll never know!? Please tell me this is not your long term plan!

You gave this shoe company a 1 star review because they don't make shoes for your husband's clown feet. God fucking damn it.

My favorite are the Amazon reviews where people rate a movie or game 1/5, then go on to specifically mention that the movie/game is a 5/5, they just didn't like Amazon's shipping or they bought it from a seller and didn't get what they ordered.

God this shits me. Like everything was perfect but there was one little small detail that irked them and therefore - 1 star.

These people actually think they're helping businesses with this shit. Like they think that if they give them a poor review it will inspire them to improve things.

i base ratings on shipping speed and actual product. arrives on time and it works in the case of used games it's an auto 5. they ship late or arrives late i might dock them a star or two. if both things happen with improper game or not receiving i give them a 1 (last time i was merciful when they sent me the wrong version) but i took into consideration they refunded my money within half a day so i have to give them credit they later emailed looked top to bottom and couldn't find the version which was the ps3 version of superchargers.

I've seen people give reviews on books of a particular subject. Because the book didn't have any new information that the reviewer themselves didn't already know (due to, per their self claim, already being fairly knowledgeable in the subject) they give the book a low rating. I'm like wtf, you shouldn't rate it based on it not giving you any new information, you should rate it based on how well it informs someone new to the subject.

"I actualky thought the game was about an 8, but so many reviewers are falsly giving it a 10, I'm going to put a 1 just to even out the ratings to what it should be".
