Why would an app need that much space to store loyalty points? Or are the devs just bad at compressing files?

Just a friendly reminder that Nintendo was founded in 1889.

Devs didn't give a shit most likely.

It's not like their clients knew what a "megabyte" was.

It's probably tracking your every move, profiling you for dietary information and manipulating your search history so that fast food-related sites are closer to the top.

I don't get why people hate that idea. If they're going to give me ads that I'm actually interested in I'm happy. I'd rather see an ad for a new burger or a movie coming up then a ad for some fucking carpet cleaner or something of that sort.

Poke Jost, but in all seriousness you could do all that with <5 MB. They probably just threw in a bunch of stuff the program didn't need because they had it laying around and didn't feel like sorting it out.

Then Google's like "yeah that's cool, that can go on the store, people will have to pay $600 more dollars on a phone with more space"
