The main one I was listening to barely updates anymore (used to be every 2 weeks, has only been about 2-3 times this entire year).

Completely Unnecessary (generally in chunks as Pat posts each segment on his channel)
Flip the Table (about crappy, old board games, but they're ending the show and the final episode is in a couple weeks)

That's about it, really.

If you got an iPod or iPhone, look up iTunes University and look at some of their offerings. I just got done with Yale's class on the American Revolution and it was pretty good.

But I'm aboard the Carolla Pirate Ship and into NPR most of the time:

Adam Carolla Show
Adam and Drew
Dr. Drew Show
Weekly Infusion...with Dr. Drew and Dr. Spaz
Reasonable Doubt....with Adam Carolla and Mark Geragos
Take a Knee...with Adam Carolla

This American Life
Planet Money
RadioLab
Radiolab Presents: More Perfect
How I Built This
TED Radio Hour
Invisibilia
Code Switch (Total opposite of what I usually listen to...but I feel its my duty)

Bigger Pockets Realestate Pod
Joe Rogan
Bill Burr
S-Town is good but not on-going

My top 3 are Adam and Dr. Drew. Radiolab, and This American Life. I usually have headphones on 40 hours a week, so I got lots o time.

I was listening to the TOVG Podcast, but I lost my phone in like January and the podcast ended in May.

Now I have to wait for the Weed Man to post his videos to hear his dulcet monotone voice, and only for 5 - 15 minutes at a time.

However, I will soon be listening to the upcoming Mountain Goats podcast hosted by the Nightvale guy.

Dev game club.

Basically 2 game developer play old games from 90s and early 2000s era and discuss their relevance. They go into detail, like 4-6 episodes per game and discuss them from a developer pov.

In the end of their playing, they interview the devs that made the game. They have got people like tim schafer, tim cain, Leonard boyarsky, chris avellone etc on the show and it is entertaining. They do play japanese games but no interview for obvious reason.

It is interesting because they are developers that has been in the industry since the 90s.

Old Opie and Anthony shows. Not a podcast, but most of their good shows are archived online - Two hosts and a comedian (often with a rotating regular cast of other comedians) riff on the news or random pop culture bits

The Last Podcast on the Left - Couple guys talk about conspiracy theories, creepypasta, etc

The Official Podcast - Several guys talking about random stuff and telling life stories. Critikal is part of this, if you're a fan of his.

Pod Save America - Podcast about politics from several guys who've worked in the field. It's a tad biased (most of the hosts worked for Democratic campaigns/the Obama white house), but they have other personalities and guests on to try to balance things out.

The Daily - NY Times in-depth reporting about a particular story by the reporters who researched it. It's pretty cool. Not always political, but when big stories drop they do tend to get extra coverage.
2 Dope Queens - Comedy podcast with a varied cast of guest comedians
The Dinner Party Download - Pop culture scrutiny and interviews from a variety of directors, writers, comedians, musicians, reporters, all of it.
Psychobabble - Gay pop culture scrutiny, and goofing off. Kid friendly (14+).
The Read - Gay black pop culture scrutiny. I just discovered this and I'm LIVING.
Podcast of Color - An hour of Queer PoC News and Pop culture scrutiny, followed by an hour of topical discussions on social issues specifically within the queer community. Expressly seeks to boost the signals of multicultural queer voices in a community that all too eagerly homogenizes them. Contains unholy amounts of shade, frequent hip-hop in-jokes, candid conversations about gay sex and relationships, and riffs on classic films, while somehow also being trash af when the mood strikes. They bring me joy. It's definitely not for the fragile of heart or ego, cause no one is safe and they drag everything.
Nancy - Stories of queer people coming out and making homes for themselves where previously there were none.
Terrible, thanks for asking - Stories of people dealing with terrible shit in their lives like the loss of family and depression, and discovering that talking to people about it doesn't make the problems go away or magically heal pain, but does help them to keep moving forward.
Invisibilia - Mentioned above
