My order came $26.90 and he asked if $20 was enough as that was all he had. I accepted it and called the manager and explained what a difficult and awkward situation the delivery boy put me in by not carrying enough change. The change was brought to me and I get a free drink next order.

When I did pizza delivery, we weren't supposed to carry more than $20 on us and we weren't supposed to accept $50 or $100 bills, even if you asked politely.

I never got the appeal of delivery tbh.

You can drive a lot cheaper, and as long as you avoid rush hour, you probably won't even contemplate suicide.

Did you specify you'd be using a $50? I used to deliver and if the customer mentioned they were paying with a $50...well that's his fault. He should've drove back to the store and grabbed the right change for it.

You should be pretty happy they actually gave you the pizza and brought back the change. Most places don't accept $50s or $100s.
