This marks the 7th time in my 5 and a half years on the job. My mayor and boss have assured the public that this cold-blooded murder was "unprovoked" so the murderer's family can take solace in that I guess. That's horrible. Killing somebody is already bad enough, but who just shoots a cop doing nothing. Hopefully her kids aren't super young even though losing a mom would hurt no matter the age.

I'm paranoid to go anywhere with large crowds or sketchy streets at night. Bunch of loonies out there with no respect for human life, this is just awful. Thoughts and prayers to her family during this tough time.
