Even with the supposed benefits there, it'd be a nightmare to try to afford rent or a mortgage any reasonable distance to the city. And the high unemployment makes everyone dispensable, so you're definitely going to be spending a lot of time stressing out even if you're good.
Why the f*** do people want to live in France again? Since France just opened up their Tech visa requirements, I was interested in learning more about working and living there...until I saw that it's financial (and perhaps even professional) suicide to do so. ... Copied to Clipboard!

So you know the rental prices in all of France? 0_0 Obviously not, just in the areas close to the companies I was looking at. Here's the announcement: http://visa.lafrenchtech.com/ ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah, I don't know, everything tends to balance out in the end, at least in my experience.
I was living in Sask, Canada. I couldn't find a job with my training and my rent was stupid high for a basement suite. Not only that, but besides beef and grains, every food item was imported and expensive as fuck. I told people I was moving to Vancouver and they were like, "But rent is so expensive!". However, I'm here now, have a nicer place at only a slightly higher price, have actual job opportunities, I don't need to have a car, and food prices are dirt cheap by comparison. I mean, there are always going to be extremes and periods of instability, but everything sort of has to achieve a sustainable price-equilibrium at some point, otherwise people wouldn't keep living in that place. ... but everything sort of has to achieve a sustainable price-equilibrium at some point, otherwise people wouldn't keep living in that place. I don't think this is necessarily true. A lot of people are going to be trapped in a place, depleting their savings and ultimately relying on the government for help. And in France's case, a lot of the wealthier and more successful people have been leaving to escape the high tax rate. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Tbh the US economy is probably better than France's, we do have a complete shit healthcare and public K-12 education system though. It's not because of money so much as it's because of poor governance, corruption, etc. But a lot of people are able to buy their way out of these problems in the US.
