Is casual gaming on consoles/handhelds dead?

I've been looking at older and newer games at GameStop and I see fewer casual games for this generation than last. Ever since the Casual Revolution of 2007, I think casuals have largely stopped gaming on dedicated gaming systems and instead opted on their iPhones. The Wii was the last stand for true casual gamers but once that died in 2012 everyone had an iPhone already and didn't bother with a Wii U or 3DS. I say it because there's not much casual games for PS4 and XBOX One compared to DS and Wii at GameStop but just look at the App Store...

But what do you think?

It's diminished but it's still there.

There has definitely been a move to PC and Mobile, but games for a casual audience still get made for consoles.

Casual gaming on consoles hasn't diminished much, there's just way more casual gamers these days.
