Uh, no. Glock's are phenomenal handguns. Cheap, super reliable, and handles great.

Wouldn't those be reasons to think that Glocks would be someone's first firearm, then?

No. You'd be smart to get one instead of something that requires more money, maintenance and isn't as high quality.

I've seen you post this before. Why the hate?

They are unnecessarily bulky, hard to hold, and just look like shit.

You need a Glock 27 with grip extender mags.

Bulky is relative to what gun out there.

Hard to hold is subjective to each person, some people love it, some hate it.

As far as looks, they're a bit simple, just a long rectangular rod on top of a pistol grip lower frame.
Some like it, some don't.

Nah, it still has the classic Glock grip which is what I don't like. An extended mag won't change that.

I'm partial to Sig Sauer or Kimber.

I'm partial to my Glock 27 because it was my first gun :)

Well handgun

This pretty much.

My first and only rifle is a Henry .22 repeater. Bought it knowing full well its a light caliber- part of the reason being it was for plinking and the ammo is dirt cheap.

If I wanted a real home defense/ personal defense or hunting gun I'd definitely do my homework.

I'm more referring to quality of build. $500-600 for a high quality polymer gun is a good deal, though there are cheapers guns for sure (Nearly all aren't as good).

Yep. There is something about the way the grip meets the slide that doesnt' work for my hand. I think they are almost always too wide on the grip, too.

People who don't like Glocks usually dislike the grip angle/bore axis. I feel the same way.

Im not really sure what your criteria is, but glocks are reasonably priced, reliable (so much so that they can fire even with sand in them), easy to clean and maintain and easy to use. Glocks are really the bezt handguns you can buy for a variety of reasons and people who buy other weapons do so for novelty, collector or naive reasons

Nope, my first gun was a S&W 686 6 shot .357 magnum revolver, not a fan of glocks (the honda civic of the gun world).

Have Walthers, H&K, a Colt pistol, and the S&W.

Not a fan of the .22 caliber.

My baby ass's first gun was a Glock 43. Not a good choice. Hard to fucking handle. Follow up shots are slow. I should have done my research and I would have seen even experienced shooters have trouble handling it. Considering trading it for a 42. But I'll give it a couple more months.

@ChainedRedone
Do you have big or small hands ?, have you tried other grips on the glock cause that might help solve the issue.

Just looked and the glock 43 and 42 are both subcompact slimlines, you might need a bigger gun if it handles poorly, the subcompact might just be too small.

I'd say from using the glock 42 once at a range it is probably just too small, I was accurate with it but I felt it was just too small a gun for my hands, I prefer a compact pistol over it and my hands are kind of small.

Yeah the gun grip is a bit too small. I got it because it is practically 100% concealable. I'm going to keep practicing with it and hope for the best. The 380 though should have little enough recoil so I can shoot quickly though. I just want a small pistol with preferably 9mm but 380 is possible.

Concealability is important, but being able to draw, handle, and use a gun accurately is just as important, for me I don't like the glock subcompact I tried out, I prefer a compact pistol I know I can and have used.

For concealed I would go with my Walther PPKS in .380 acp , 7 rounds, or my primary go to gun/ old reliable my Walther P99 in 9MM, 15 rounds.
