If so, what was the recovery process like and how is the shoulder now?

My dad has, and it was a labral tear, but it was also an everything tear. As in his bicep was completely ripped off of his shoulder. He said he looked like Popeye, because his shoulder was really skinny, but then his forearm looked ripped.

It took him a few months to recover and even then, he probably only has about 80% strength left in that arm.
