They found the kid (fifteen year old kid, literally) who did it and under threat of having his reddit history posted next to his name for the whole world to see (otherwise known as doxxing) he apologized and took all his shit down.

the second bit, his reddit history? wasn't mentioned at all far as we know. the conversations had are unknown but there probably isn't any explicit threat done, just implications, double speak, and more mafia-style threats-that-aren't-threats.
