I'm a little ways into the first episode which I got for free. So far, I didn't like the Batman bits because it was just QTEs, but the decision making is fun. I'm semi interested in the story.

Yeah that's the feeling I get. Most of the actions were so forced.

The only difference is it lets you choose to approach certain situations as Bruce Wayne or Batman.

There's literally times where a QTE comes up that you can fail or succeed, but even if you succeed at it, the bad outcome happens anyway

It's not a game.

Why?

I've "played" through the original Walking Dead Season One game. I watched Season Two on Youtube.

Originally I thought the game was going to be like Monkey Island or Snatcher, but with zombies. An advanced point and click style game. Instead it was just an interactive movie that gave you some choices with conversations and a few QTE. No puzzles or anything, though it gives the allusion of point and click style puzzles since you pick up items in the environment and use them to advance the story.

I think the Jurassic Park game for the 360 is the same way.

These games would be incredible if they took the time to implement point and click style puzzles. I loved those games, especially the HD versions of Monkey Island and Monkey Island Two. It's a nice change from the usual FPS game I play.
