Wanted to play it for so long after I beat Danganronpa 2 and sadly it wasn't an option.
Wanted to play it even more when Danganronpa 3 aired and it spoiled some stuff, so I kinda lost interest in this after that, but still wanted to play it.

It finally came out for the PC 4 days ago, meaning I can finally play it.
I just beat it right now and after hearing so much negative things about this game I just gotta ask - why?
It wasn't perfect by any means, the story wasn't as clever as Danganronpa 2 and there were barely any surprises (well I guess some of this is because Danganronpa 3, but some of the "twists" were still obvious)
I did like the part where Monaca told Komaru that the successor for Junko is actually Komaru herself and then she showed her her dead parents to drive her to destroy the controller
But still, the story was enjoyable.

The gameplay wasn't that bad either it had some nice puzzles here and there, they tried to make the combat varied by giving the gun many abilities and it was good.
As for the controls I heard was the main problem with the Vita version - I think they were perfect in PC
You use WASD for moving, L-Shift to run, Right Mouse button to start aiming and then you aim with the mouse and shoot with the Left Mouse button
You can use the number keys in the keyboard to switch between truth bullets or use the directional keys, it's great
It's a pretty good port overall, it looks good, controls well and plays perfectly (well except for the last boss, I think I had some camera problems there)

So yeah, pretty solid game.
And if someone dropped this game because they hated the controls I would say to give it another chance on the PC

people hated the brainwashing thing so much...yet it was actually UDG that made it canon
Why would a despair video make people hate DR3 so much but brainwashing helmets are fine?
