Metroid Fusion is always a favorite of mine.

The reason % for fusion is so low because fusion doesn't count important "mandatory" upgrades toward completion percentage. iirc there's only 1% that requires anything out of the ordinary to skip

The 1% skip to make it 0% was an old TAS technique that people figured out that they can do pause buffer to get, lmao.
