Id just stick with whatever civ you already like most.

i havent even played 6 but i can assume, probably correctly: THE AI SUCKS AND MAKES BAFFLING DECISIONS A LOT.

so yeah, theres my review of a game i didnt play

Do you have the monies to spare? Do you value participating/playing something while it's hot and booming? Then yes.

Do you have the patience or frugalty to wait a few years? Do you value going in blind and experience first hand the fine-tuned gameplay that are civ games after their expansions are released? Then no.



This is coming from someone who played civ 2 in relative recent history.

Civ 6 looks like complete shit. I researched it exhaustively and ended up deciding against buying it. I have about 500 hours in Civ 5, for reference.

I only played the fifth game, a little bit of the fourth, and the second a lot... So I have no opinion!

I do know that the fifth seemed infinitely easier to win than the second, so I would assume the sixth is easier than the fifth

I like it. There are good mods out for it to balance out the AI and UI changes. I know it's on sale atm so I think it'd be worth it. I pre-ordered the deluxe edition so I'm happy with all the DLC; I understand that folks are miffed by the prices of them separately.
