I don't think I've payed close attention to sports in over a year, but I still hear the major headlines or catch clips here and there.

You guys like the simpsons way more than anyone I've ever talked to. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Anyway, at the grocery store store the other day I bought this thing called Pizza Buns (mostly because the name is funny).

I've always been a big fan of crappy pizza stuff like pizza rolls and bagel bites, but I pretty much never buy them nowadays because I eat all of them in 1 sitting.

but these Pizza Buns were just bad. Way too bready, and just had this weird flavor. I even took the time to bake them in the oven instead of microwaving too.

I like pizza rolls but they're way too expensive for how little you get

Pizza rolls are awesome. Dammit, I wish I had some. It's probably good that I don't though because I'd eat like a whole bag right now. Bagel bites are good from what I remember, but I never had those too often.

Two a week isn't that many. I've gone through periods where I ate a hot Pocket for breakfast every day for a week plus. Pizza rolls are definitely bomb.

It's funny that you mention the fact that we're ridiculously huge Simpsons nerds because as a Simpsons nerd I often feel like my knowledge is inadequate. I've seen all the good episodes probably like 5 times each over the course of my life but Slurpee and chewy have the skills to like rank seasons and stuff whereas they all sort of blend together for me. Also I always feel bad when i miss a quote IRL, though usually when chewy is doing one here I can at least guess that he's doing one and Google it.

The NY Mets are my least favorite squadron (for the next three days)

I always hear excuses about how teams go through rough patches, hitting a lot of bad breaks, catching opponents at the wrong time, etc., but I don't think it's normal to hit a "rough patch" where you give up like eight runs a game for a month. And that's something that happens to the Rockies every year, often for multiple stretches

No it's still the best by a pretty wide margin

Unless you want to say the AL East is better. In terms of overall balance, it might be. The highs aren't as high, but the lows aren't as low

FFXII rules. I liked it when it first came out and now I can see that it's great.

We are still on season topic 1 on Baseboard, but my title is "Best Phams in Baseball." Do you get it? It's because the unofficial slogan of the Saint Louis Cardinals is "Best Fans in Baseball." I was thinking about the 25-man roster during Spring Warming Ups, and I saw that Thomas Pham was starting in Triple-AAA and Joseph Martinez was starting in the Majors Leagues. I thank to my brain, "Maybe it is RIP in peace for our friend Pham, fam?"

So I gave birth to the aforementioned thread, and my message post declared that it was strange how Martinez got a spot over Pham. Well, Pham must have seen the thread, because he must have thought to him self, "no." Now, he's the best player in the Saint Louis Cards' locker area.

And wouldn't you know it, but Pham is blind. Not just blind, but legal blind! How is he so good at such a game as cricket's son, baseball?

A very strange post. Anyway nothing against Jose Martinez but it was incredibly stupid to keep Pham off the roster. I think Matheny hates him. His bf Grichuk is terrible.

Speaking of Martinezes, JD Martinez was just traded to the Diamondbacks for prospects.

And completely irrelevant, we have the same birthday. I'm gonna invite him to my party where we both will turn 30 together.

Yesterday the Rockies won consecutive games for the first time in almost a month

I hope that means the slump is over. The Cubs have won four straight though...

J.D. Martinez is a very good hitter. That's my take.

I'm assuming he's just a rental, but I wonder if he'll re-sign with the team if they continue being decent.

I think J.D. Martinez is one of those guys who could be a star if he ever got any attention, but he's never on anyone's radar. It's a good pick up for the D-Backs.

The Rockies-Padres game had me thinking, what is the worst MLB team to be a fan of? I think it might be the Padres. The Rockies are bad year after year, but at least we routinely have exciting players. The Padres' lone All-Star was a relief pitcher. I guess Wil Myers is kind of good? At least by the standards of their park, which seems to be where position players' careers go to die. They used to have a lot of pitching, but no real huge names. They're always pretty middle of the road, never competitive but not in full on tank mode either. It's easy to forget they exist since they're on the West Coast and other Cali teams overshadow them.

I guess their park is supposed to be really nice though, so maybe there's worse.

Mariners would be very bad as well especially in the post Ichiro era. On the bright side, if you're a fan of either of those two teams you might live in a decent place. Best weather in the US in San Diego and a liberal utopia in Seattle

Seattle has a lot of Japanese fans at least. I hear San Diego's park usually has a lot of fans of other teams (mainly Dodgers) just because it's so cheap to attend.
