I have a $20 Steam gift card so I know I'm buying something.

Please convince me to buy the cheaper games than Rimworld.

I just found out that it's never going on sale and will actually get more expensive when Early Access finishes, so my reason to wait evaporated.

Apart from Dead Cells, I don't think any of the games you have on your wishlist that are cheaper than Rimworld are as interesting as Rinworld, so maybe get Rimworld

because the dev wants committed users to play Rimworld and provide feedback while the game is in active development, and a high price point drives away most impulse purchasers. I assume selling nearly 700k copies of the game at full price factors into the decision as well.

it makes sense, I guess, but I generally like to have my first playthrough of a game be the most complete version possible. it's why I never buy early access. I was hoping to pick it up a few years down the line when it's finished and 75% off in some steam sale
