It's not like it's acceptable for homosexual people to use the f-word, so why doesn't the same rule apply here? Why don't they get harassed by SJWs when they say that word?

And before you pull the white male card, I'm a minority too and I'm just legitimately curious about this behavior. Racism wasn't a big deal back in my country, so I don't know what are the reasons behind this.

They do? Not that I've heard of in this State, at least. It's extremely frowned upon and it will probably get your ass kicked around here.

This analogy doesn't work in every ambit of life. If I'm born in the countryside, a fellow citizen won't appreciate being called a redneck and if I'm mentally disabled, I don't get to walk around and call other people the r-word.

That would probably end up in me either being called a douche, beaten or shot.

Deciding to follow this rule instead of having the "everybody or nobody" attitude is an incognito way of talking down to black people. Since it SEEMS beneficial, nobody notices the reality of the situation.

It's similar to "A man can't hit a woman." it treats them as lesser but hardly anyone points that out.

White people often love feeling like the weight of the world is on our shoulders and everything is up to us. That's what leads to so many of us being offended on someone else's behalf.

It's stupid.

I know it is bait but I will take it.

Why do people just complain about the Use of that word. Fat people can call their fat friends fat and not bat an eye. But when buff guy does it is an issue.

There are few songs were girls call themselves the B word, but if a guy did that they would be upset.

There is a Asian Band call the Slants but if you go around calling random Asian people you be seen as racist.

The list goes on and on. Why is when black people are the subject this thing questioned.

No, it's not. I have black friends that get offended by the word whenever another black person says it too. The person saying the word doesn't change the fact that the word is horrible and needs to disappear, not be used as slant by a certain group of people

When you have a word that's so goddamn offensive that it gets censored in almost every instance, subtext is not suddenly gonna make it more acceptable. That's just being an apologist for the people using it because they happen to be black.

If a black person say it, it's like saying "my fellow black person" or "my brother.". It's a comraderie thing. So if someone who isn't black says it, it's not alright because you're not black and you don't know what black people go through. Some don't like it when anybody says the word because it reminds them of slavery and Jim Crow

And I'm not saying it's ok for white people to use it either (I agree it's even worse if they use it). What I'm saying is that the word should stop being used altogether because of how offensive it is.

That's not true at all. I'm sure you could find plenty of black people who are not ok at all with the use of the word regardless of who says it (I know quite a few).

The fact that you "mean a different" thing when you say it doesn't make a word with such a horrible history less offensive. That's ridiculous.
