Took a swim as it was raining, also its like 16-18C temp and windy.

Water felt cold had to stop swimming when my hands stsrted to feel numb.

I think I'm conditioned so much that I wouldn't get in a lake anywhere. Too much fear.

That and we have tons of things in the water around here that can kill you, besides amoebas. Alligators, snakes, etc.


Yeah, in Sweden we basically have nothing dangerous in the wild, bears and wolves but it's rare to meet those, a boar could be dangerous if they are angry. Otherwise it's getting diseases from ticks. We have one snake that is poisonous but it's not too dangerous.

Those tend to be in smaller ones and ponds. Big lakes usually are not bad.
