For non-lore-learners, Veronica is a girl I've been talking to off and on online and by phone for the past, like, two years. By coincidence, we found out that we live on opposite sides of the same state. Last year, she ended up moving to another, closer town for school and we planned to meet, but it fell through for various reasons and she had to move back home to help her family.

I sort of thought that was the end of that. We've still talked, because none of that was really her fault. However, a couple months ago she told me she had colon cancer. I can't absolutely prove that this is false, but there's a lot that doesn't add up, including the fact that her health seems to fluctuate a lot. Plus, she said she's planning to go back to school, which is generally not something you do when you're, you know, dying.

At the start of fall semester she's planning to move closer again. She'd be like, 2 or 3 hours away from me. And apparently she still wants to sexor me. Sooner than that if possible.

All of this would be fine, except again, the cancer thing. I talked this over with parents and also CE when it happened, and the nearly unanimous consensus is that something is rotten in Denmark. I am not aware of people normally getting better from cancer. Not to say it's never happened in the history of the world, but her health just seems to vary too much for it to make any sense. She supposedly has a terminal illness but is still making long term plans and half the time doesn't even seem like she's sick.

On one hand, I'm basically guaranteed to lose my virginity if I go. On the other, all this just doesn't add up.

I am legitimately not sure what to do here.

Your entire story is a generic form of catfishing that attention seeking women do on the Internet. It's not original. It's VERY obvious what's going on.

You're basically falling for a nigerian prince here.

You are not having sex in the fall. She's baiting you and stringing you along. That's how this works. The catfish keeps putting the promise of some future event a few months in advance, and it always falls through and gets pushed back to another time.

....have you ever been dying? I can promise you, you still live your life if you are young and dying. Otherwise I wouldn't have gone to school at all growing up.

I second Steve Nick's opinion.

Granted it might not be done with malicious intent - in my experience some people are naturally shitty like that - but either way this seems like a cancer you need to remove. You've said it yourself things seem fishy and it doesn't seem she's really substantiated much.
