Can I ask what's clued you in that Auron was deadly in battle?

Cause I can honestly say the only real hint I see even looking back was Guadosalom Farplane, before Zanarkand of course. And maybe the thing that Rin says about him leaving wounded.

I had the dream one spoiled for me, and I don't remember my reaction to the final aeon. I do remember being surprised about Auron being a zombie, though.

I didn't really clue into Auron being dead or the fact that calling the Final Aeon kills the summoner before their reveals although in hindsight I'm not sure why I didn't because there are some pretty big hints for both. In the case of the latter, I think Tidus's loudly expressed belief was infectious for me as a player, even though I undetstand why nobody corrected him. Tidus being a dream isn't nearly as heavily forshadowed as those two are.

I knew that Sin is Jecht before the game began, and I felt pretty miffed that this had been spoiled for me. It was a pleasant surprise, then, that the game actually tells you this one early!

Also I feel like calling the Final Aeon kills the summoner is the most important twist. The reveal scene for that is one I find incredibly hard-hitting, because it totally reshapes how you see the entire pilgrimmage, and Yuna's entire character.

I didn't predict anything... I don't think I even understood half the spoilers after witnessing them. Took me a few years and replays to figure everything out.

Ok. But it's not a big spoiler, nor is it a hidden spoiler. Yuna, Tidus and Auron, the game purposefully tries to keep it a secret, or avoid it, or make you think differently. No such thing happens with Jecht.

Does he hurt at the Kilika sending? I don't remember him being at the Mushroom rock sending, I didn't notice him hurting at the Home Sending. And none of the Seymour sendings actually occur till after Zanarkand.

Though I guess there is dialogue he ambled on.

He wasn't in Kilika. When Jyscal escaped the Farplane and Yuna sent him back Auron doubled over

There's also the scene where Seymour asks why he's still here, and explains that Guado are "keen to the scent of the Farplane"

Why were you surprised by the party's reaction?

Lulu and Wakka already knew it, and had put it away and I would assume eventually became as numb to it as they could when they became her guardians.

Kamahri just walks away, seems like him.

Auron is like, whatever dude, you think this is surprising, just wait till we get to Zanarkand, and Rikku made no bones about stopping Yuna from the beginning.

I don't really try too hard to guess spoilers while I'm enjoying a story.
But if it's being foreshadowed I can pick up on that pretty easily.

I was also young so the only thing that seemed obvious was Auron, but everything else was a successful twist.
