If you answered "yes" to at least two of those questions, then you'll probably enjoy the series. If you answered "yes" to all three of those questions, you'll most likely enjoy it a lot. But if you don't want to blow money on one of the video games, there's also an anime adaptation that covers most of the story from the main trilogy of games. It's available for streaming subbed on Crunchyroll and English dubbed on Funimation.

The rebirth games on vita and PC are remakes of the original 3 games (Neptunia, mk2, and Victory) with Victory's battle system which was the best battle system at the time. I started with Victory on ps3 and didn't feel I missed too much. Never played the victory remake. Megadimension on ps4 and PC is pretty much the best game in the franchise in every aspect, but probably not the best game to play first. The spin offs are generally average to mediocre quality gameplay with horrific writing

Also, now that I think about it. Due to copyright issues on characters from the original Neptunia which could not be reused in the remake, and general fuck uppery, the story in the first rebirth game is essentially noncanon. The full Neptunia storyline is mk2 (rebirth 2) -> Victory (rebirth 3) -> and then Megadimension. It's weird cause the original game was about the main cpus, while mk2 is about the younger sisters, but that's just how it unfolds.

The Neptunia games are... pretty mediocre though. All the characters feel the same, the only strategy is just cover as many enemies as you can in your aoe and just... attack. Like if they're not broken, break them, once they're broken, attack them. Literally the entire game is that when you're not healing, and buffs are for when you've actually taken the time to break, and timing that is annoying and not fun because it just ends up taking forever to break some of the bosses.

It's brainless, and it just stays like that the whole freaking game. I thought the dynamic would change when you recruit more characters, but no, definitely not.
