Just once. I met this one kid on the street, he took me to his house to get like Killer Instinct 64 or whatever and I brought him to my house and my mom told me to gtfo with that kid.

Yes, though it wasn't specific kinds of people so much as other people in general. They were paranoid/over-protective out the wazoo which is how I ended up home-schooled from 3rd grade to junior high level. (And then they had the audicity to act shocked when I ended up socially reclusive and struggled until my mid-20s to get a GED).

i grew up around a very diverse mix of races and yeah, there are certain races my parents tell me to not be friends with or should i say, stick to being friends only during school and not elsewhere. my parents are very stereotypical mostly because of their bad history with said race. everybody has bad experiences but to me, it seems like it stuck to them more effectively than it did me. i dont judge a person by their race, sex or background, i judge those who dont have the respect for others. i've been robbed from other people, i've also been robbed by my own kind, its all on the person.

Sorta. I had a friend, and the parents didn't care if we hung out at our place, but I wasn't allowed to go over to his place.

Not like race but she didn't want to hang with the mean kids and preferred smarter kids.

Kindergarten- my best friend was Palestinian
1/2 - black/Peruvian
3-7 Palestinian guy again
8-10 was a Chinese guy.
11th grade til now at 26 has basically been two guys one Nicaraguan and one Mexican/Chinese. Also a Jordanian guy but he moved away a few years back and I don't see him as often.

Only one my parents really didn't like was the Chinese guy because he wasnt too bright and kind of two faced and rude.

The rest were and still are treated like family when my parents, especially my mom sees them.

Edit - I'm from the bay area and even if my parents were racist the schools I went to were 60% Filipino, 20% other Asian, 10% Hispanic, and the rest was mixed white, black and other.

In contrast to what I normally see posted the whites were kind of the outsiders and the black people tended to be the cool kids although it wasn't bad and there wasn't really any racism.

No. My parents always trusted me. I did make a few mistakes growing up though. But only minor ones. lol
