It looks like the first gb hdd (that wasnt the size of a refrigerator) came out in 1991. The first tb hdd (again, one that could fit inside a pc) came out in 2007.
2007 - 1991 = 16 years 2007 + 16 = 2023. The first petabyte hdd (probably will be solid state tbh) will be out in 2023, quote me when I'm right. --- :wq ... Copied to Clipboard!

I don't doubt that some day we'll see Petabyte harddrives, I doubt we'll see a solid state petabyte, but if we do, it'll be expensive as hell and probably have frequent cell failure.
