They could have just had him appear without explanation sporting a green face on one side and flipping a coin. His face wouldn't have even had to have looked grotesque. There was a lot that a campy Batman could have done with the coin flip gimmick. Maybe it's for the best though. The guy they considered for the part was Clint Eastwood.
