It's not like the death of Batman's parents or the Joker's chemical bath origin were ever brought up. They could have just had him appear without explanation sporting a green face on one side and flipping a coin. His face wouldn't have even had to have looked grotesque. There was a lot that a campy Batman could have done with the coin flip gimmick.

Maybe it's for the best though. The guy they considered for the part was Clint Eastwood. Had he been tied to a campy Batman series, he might have never gotten the chance to have starred in the Dollars trilogy.

lol, I hadn't thought of that. Yeah. He could have robbed the bank in a stereotypical bandit mask and each half could have been a different color from the other.
