Cancer was his "excuse" for everything thing he had done up to that point.

I don't remember the moment too much but it was either that he was mad because all the evil he was involved in wasn't something "he had to do" like he thought was the case when he believe he couldn't survive the cancer

That or it was him doing a "I'm invincible" power trip.

But I think it's the former.

PS: Don't watch the Jimmy Kimmel video about vaccinations, for 0 reason they spoil the end of Breaking Bad in that video.

Because he did bad things thinking he was as good as dead and "needed" to do those things for his family. When he wasn't going to die anymore that means he has to actually be around to face the consequences of his actions and live with it.
