My manager asked me to extend from 4:30 to 7:30 because some idiot got arrested. I declined because I woke at 4 in the morning in order to get here on time and they had me here late last night, which resulted in me getting home at about 12:45. So less than 4 hours of sleep.

Nobody responded when I said, "See you guys tomorrow."

It's a hotel. I sit at a desk, answer calls and tell people how to get around the city. The job itself isn't hard but the people I work with make it harder than it actually is sometimes. I overheard some of them chattering about how I decided to leave rather than stay back and help.

Fuck your coworkers then. You are definitely in the right-- it is possibly a violation of your rights to force you to work late at night then have an early morning the next day. There are laws about how much time off you get between shifts at work.

Who gives a shit what your co workers think? Just do your job and they can shove it.
