Please spoiler tag anything from the finale anyway though, since it's so recent

Now that it's over, what are your thoughts?

For the first half of the season, I thought it was the weakest of the 3 by far.

But goddamn does it turn around in the second half. Burgle was my favorite of the "police protagonists" thus far, and Nikki and Varga were both fucking fantastic

The return of Mr. Wrench was a great twist, and pulled off excellently.

As for the finale man, they weren't going to just please the crowd there. Nikki's ultimate pointless death was painful, as was knowing that Emmett just sort of got away with anything... until he didn't! And that last moment with Varga and Burgle, holy shit. It kills me not to know what ultimately happened there.

But everything during the Wrench and Nikki's escape, the return of the Wandering Jew (and the weird mystical fate of Varga's henchman), Varga's first look of real, honest fear were all fantastic.

Ultimately I'm not completely sure I understand what the point was of the box that turns itself off whenever it's turned on. Still trying to figure out how that applies to the overall story, which I just KNOW it does.

Gloria was incredibly underutilized and essentially relegated to a secondary character

The last episode was pretty unsatisfactory for several of the characters

The biggest positive was Thewlis. He was amazing

I think it's an analogue for Gloria's own feelings of uselessness and getting somewhere only to be denied and shut down repeatedly.

I agree that this was the weakest season (though of course still pretty great).

I think leaving the ending ambiguous was the right call, but there were a lot of loose ends that were never tied up (like what the hell was going on with Ray Wise?)
