I have coverage through my employer, so I would expect my rates to rise at the least - and if my state decides to allow employers to opt out of providing coverage, then I'll have a hell of a time finding an affordable plan on the market that covers mental health. All in all, a shit deal.

Senators opted to keep Obamacare's subsidies to prevent the funds from being used for abortions.
Why?

because it's a huge victory for their base of social conservatives, despite federal (and a lot of state) funding never going to abortions in the first place

it makes healthcare more expensive and more exclusive in terms of what's covered. there's absolutely nothing positive about it other than tax cuts for people who can already afford the most premium care in the world

There is nothing positive about it. It hurts literally everyone, including the rich, in terms of health care, it's just that the richest people will get certain tax cuts to offset their health costs.
