Like with Hillary losing they acted like we'd never get another female candidate ever again despite her not being the ideal candidate.

Its like if black people lost hope when Al Sharpton lost those nomination attempts.

They seem to be doing the same with Wonder Woman. It's been a huge success and people have been acting like its the first time a female has been a successful lead in an action movie.

Its not like Kill Bill just stopped existing or Ripley in Alien wasnt there. If anything Ripley should be the IDEAL female protagonist.

I've noticed it before on other things but those are the two examples i can remember. Its a strange thing to me

Can't say I've seen anyone say this.

I've seen movie critics say this, not feminists. But it is an important blockbuster.

Neither of those were giant comic book movies grossing ludicrous sums of money.

I've seen this from celebs and random people online. I dont really talk politics in the real world. Its mostly people saying things like "She was the most qualified candidate ever"

Granted but Alien was a very successful franchise that for its time made a ton of money
