Assuming you've had a bad waiter/waitress or service in a restaurant or something

Is it more disrespectful to give them absolutely no tip at all, or to tip them a penny?

probably a penny since it's a deliberate diss. No tipping is just something I do everywhere because waiters don't deserve extra money for doing their jobs.

A tip should always be 20% even if the service is slow. You don't know if the staff is super busy or if there's something wrong in the kitchen. The only time you leave a bad tip is if the waiter was super mean or something.

Yup. No tip might just be a rude asshole who forgot or has "taken a stand" against tipping. A penny is a deliberate "fuck off."

If my service is mediocre, I still tip around 10% in hopes of communicating that it could've been better... and not like "my food took too long," like "the waiter was disinterested/rude." Otherwise, 20%.

I tip no matter the quality of service.

I coulda went to fast food and not care.
But, i wanted better food served so i will tip for the service.

Foods warm
Foods fast
Foods done the way i want

If the quality of food aint what i want it to be, then i just stop going to the restaurant.
