Like, actual, severe anxiety that requires medication to manage.
For those of you who do, how do you deal with the memory loss? Seems like I forget more as each day passes. Details of events in my childhood, phone numbers, what day of the week it is, and, once in a while, my age. I'm honestly conflicted on it. On one hand, I understand that memory loss could be a serious issue, but on the other, you don't really worry about stuff you can't recall, right? Truth be told, I'm kinda living in a high stress situation right now. But that's anxiety, I guess. Worrying about things most people don't bother to think of. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Maybe the memory loss is from the high stress environment?

What are you worrying about Money, stability, relationships, and associating with members of my terrible family. 13 years ago I had a nervous breakdown which threw me into a panic attack I was unable to rid myself of for several months. I'd go to bed shaking in fear, and wake up the same way. After almost a decade, I reached a point where I could manage that anxiety fairly well, so long as I adhered to a certain lifestyle. It was difficult, but it was stable. And right now, I feel that stability slipping, and nothing scares me more than the idea of having a panic attack. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Oh fuck I never thought my bad memory might be related to anxiety Yeah, it was only recently I learned of the connection, myself. However, MACisBack posted... Maybe the memory loss is from the high stress environment? stress can also cause memory loss, yes. At this point, it'd be almost impossible to determine which of the two is the true culprit, but it's likely both. i'm on lexapro which is for depression and anxiety. so i don't know if that counts.
but my memory does seem kind of shitty. i always write stuff down at work when my supervisor needs something. if i try to remember it, it doesn't go well. but then my memory has never been great, even before lexapro. so i dunno. --- go join the "expletive not allowed" nazis then. you "expletive not allowed" psycho- Spudger 01/15/17 ... I used to be on busbar, but since getting a new psychiatrist I was taken off of it. It worked fairly well too No, the refill is available, but my doctor works under the assumption that everyone who uses any type of controlled substance is potentially abusing it. If I refuse the test, she'll simply stop prescribing me the medication. I did sign a form allowing as much, but it's still incredibly annoying to deal with. After all, my current prescription is one of those "take one only when needed" types, meaning I get roughly 15 pills to last me two months, which is nowhere near enough. I have been looking for other doctors, though. Regardless of anyone's opinion, a few bad eggs selling these pills shouldn't ruin it for those who genuinely need them. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
