Fucking lol, I still find that hilarious. What amounts to sugar water with acid is basically made into a giant marketing ploy.

Though I suppose it is impressive that in the social media age they've still been able to keep a tight lid on it.

How does that happen? Nobody that was working a mixer machine or something ever decided to anonymously tell someone?

I mean

GT Cola and other generics are kinda awful, they really need pointers

Supposedly someone actually stole it once and tried to sell it to Pepsi, and Pepsi turned them in to Coke with the recipe still sealed.

Fact: Coke does not taste like it did in the 80s. Whatever the formula is now, they've changed it in the past couple of decades and it's not as good as it used to be.

Maybe it's like the paint on KITT from Night Rider, where there are three ingredients and each of three people knows two so no one person k.ows the entire formula, but any two can make it in case something happens to the third.

It's a pretty compelling marketing strategy though, isn't it? Like just look at that theatrical vault that safeguards it. I imagine they expect us to believe it's sitting in a glass case surrounded by lazers and only Nicolas Cage in National Treasure can get to it.

They probably keep it as secret as possible from their employees as well.

Did it have mountains of high fructose corn syrup in the '80s?

Oh man. If they make a national treasure-esque movie about it that would be so cool. It could be just as goofy as those movies.

Well there are nore than three ingredients in coke (probably) so they could set up all kinds of complex data structures. Maybe there are five ingredients ane each of five people knows three.
