Ideally, we should get rid of the dictator in order to democratize and unify Korea...but this is not an ideal world with the ideal situations. I'd say we should let him be so we don't anger China.

I'm thinking if we really wanted him gone we could have made that happen by now. There's a good chance we're keeping him there to prevent the next in line, whomever that might be, from swooping in and making things even worse. In other words he's the devil we know and that makes it easier for us to deal with them.

The main issue with directly involving the world with NK is that there is going to be some major havoc in SK by the end of the first hour, I think.

In the case of North Korea it's "cut off one head and another grows back". The entire government over there is corrupt. Getting rid of Un would only aggravate them further.

Yeah, America hasn't ignored North Korea for our OWN sake. The retaliation against South Korea would be terrible.

Who would take in the NK citizens? SK certainly doesn't want them. Unifying the two countries is never going to happen.
