He's alright. I do take a liking to the one move where he blasts into the sky to slam back down on you.

Nargacuga is still the best Flagship. He embodies Monhun. He has a moveset that's grounded to reality (within reason) but just screams SAVAGERY and his theme has the right mix of seriousness and lighthearted charm of Monster Hunter.

Monster Hunter: World is 5. The main team worked on it since after 4 as MH5 and changed it to World as they preferred it.

Do you guys reckon I should play Gen or translated XX? I own both but I'm really not sure which one to go with... at the same time Gen makes more sense... cause it's been 100% localized but I know it's probably more worthwhile to just smash into XX.

Doesn't make sense at all, MH is really easy to play in Japanese. Done it with 3 of the games, 4 if you count Frontier for a small bit. XX is everything X is, just way more.

The interview I saw (Capcom Unity) they thought "World" was more inviting than saying 5. Monster Hunter 5 could be intimidating for new players, who is going to pick up the 5th game of a series without playing the other games? This is also the first Monster Hunter with Worldwide servers and a Worldwide release date and they thought naming it "Monster Hunter: World" had some sort of symbolism to that fact.

It's not the first MH with worldwide server, but it is the first with worldwide release date.

But the rumors do have it that there's a separate MH game being developed for the Switch, and that was touted as MH5, but it's a very shaky rumor with not much base other than that the same leak that says so got pretty much everything right.

It's just odd to me that a game that calls itself a part of the next rendition of the main series would introduce no new weapon type

The weapons all have new animations and there are whispers of a new weapon type but no official announcement.

Oh you know what, I was mistaken. Probably because I've played with people with Japanese names in Japan and horribly connection, but it's also possible they were using an English 3DS.
