A man who led police on a dangerous chase in opposing lanes of traffic was in a standoff with police Thursday on the roof of a Sylmar home. The man gestured to police who were on the ground while police stood with guns drawn at a home in the San Fernando Valley. At one point police threw a hose up to the man who took a drink then wrapped it around his neck before throwing the hose down to the ground. The rooftop standoff capped a dangerous chase that took place along central San Fernando Valley streets at high speeds.
