Well the other way to look at this is it has been over 10 years so Nintendo might be close to figuring it out.

Yeah PS4 doesn't do PS1 downloads, and certain games like the Crash Bandicoot series aren't supported on the Vita either (although I think there might be some tricks you can use to transfer them anyway?)
