I've been using this quote for years now, thinking that it was from MGS4 but it's actually from 2 and I feel really, really old now. "You're drowning in time!"

Gosh. Metal Gear Solid 2 came out in 2001. Sixteen years ago. I remember peeling the plastic wrap off my copy, too. Geeze.

How is it that as consistent as it is, I'm always amazed and depressed at the constant speed of time?

I've always had this sort of feeling regarding time, ever since I was practically a kid. Like a melancholic, sort of feeling. But what you said here is something Ocarina of Time has a great quote for.

"The flow of time is always cruel. It's speed seems different for each person, yet no one can change it."
