capcom had to make the black people in resident evil 5 less dark? because its racist when there are black people in africa and they turn into zombies and have to get shot at by a white guy.

Yeah. I just brought this up a bit ago. How they added in majini of every race just to appease the cry babies. Imagine if re5 got made today, things have only gotten worse in those regards.

This. I know Africa isn't exclusively filled with black people and that Kijuju or whatever is not a real place, but some of the Majini looked out of place (white dudes in jeans and a t-shirt, obviously Hispanic and Asian looking guys). Not a big deal, just makes it feel weird at times(Like when did Dave from down the street move to a remote village in Africa? And why?).

did people complain about killing infected from an African country, or the stereotypical enemies that you eventually face for basically no reason other than the imagery?

Probably because RE4 is legit damn good game universally-liked while RE5 was a somewhat boring game where you either shoot everything or perform QTEs all the time.

At one point , a there was a group of Black Zombies( or whatever) all attacking a random white women . And people said hey that is messed up, then other of nowhere people in these African-Cities started throwing spares and wearing grass skirts. So the people who took issue with this were complaining about more things then just having to kill black bad guys .

Resident Evil 5's 2007 E3 trailer was criticized for depicting a white protagonist killing black enemies in a small African village. According to Newsweek editor N'Gai Croal, "There was a lot of imagery in that trailer that dovetailed with classic racist imagery", although he acknowledged that only the preview had been released.[80][81] Takeuchi said the game's producers were completely surprised by the complaints.[82] The second trailer for the game, released on May 31, 2008, revealed a more racially diverse group of enemies and the half-African BSAA agent Alomar,[83] who assists the protagonist.[84] Critics felt that Alomar's character was added to address the issue of racism, though Karen Dyer said the character had been in development before the first trailer was released.[28] Takeuchi denied that complaints about racism had any effect in altering the design of Resident Evil 5.[85] He acknowledged that different cultures may have had differing opinions about the trailer,[82][86] though said he did not expect there to be further complaints once the game was released and people were "able to play the game and see what it is for themselves".[22] In a Computer and Video Games interview, producer Masachika Kawata also addressed the issue: "We can't please everyone. We're in the entertainment business – we're not here to state our political opinion or anything like that. It's unfortunate that some people felt that way."[87]

yeah it was super stupid, since RE4 was a white dude shooting hispanics and nobody cared, because *gasp* the game takes place in spain.

People had common sense in the year RE4 was released. SJWs had taken over by the time RE5 was released. And now we live in an era where the alt-right gets their feelings hurt about the upcoming Wolfenstein game.

I guess videogames are a good barometer of society

that only says that a more diverse group of enemies were shown in the second trailer, not that the game was altered in any way.

thanks for the link, though.

Well Guy was asking if the game was altered. I only transposed that part from the wikipedia page because the producer denies there was any changes due to racism outcry. Whether or not that's the truth I dunno.

Edit: N/m that was actually you initially that asked for a source. :-/
