Sure, since he exposed his ignorance, I'm happy to finally address this.

The answer is quite simple: you target the groups committing the terrorist attacks. If there isn't a distinguishable difference, there's no point to profiling. If one group is committing 95% of the attacks, which is the case currently, you put extra emphasis on monitoring that group.

Hollywood does kinda like to stick to one black actor / one black actress at a time, but let's not pretend that this is the first movie to feature a successful black protagonist.

The problem is that Hollywood has this cycle that it's gone through since the Civil Rights Movement. They become more inclusive, we get some roles where minority characters play the same kind of roles which previously would have gone to white males, and then it just stops.

We get to a point where we just generally accept that we're no longer racist or sexist and we don't have to prove how open-minded we are. And so we got back to having the same characters and same roles as before; meaning mostly white male leads and some diversity among the supporting characters.

And every time there's a new boom, instead of building upon the successes of the past, they more or less start again from square one. Will Black Panther be the film to break that cycle? I have my doubts. Does the cycle need to be broken? Absolutely.

TC is easier to hook than a starving guppy.
