Console wars are lame

It's always one-sided so you can hardly call them "wars"

PS2 vs GameCube vs Xbox

Genesis vs SNES was undisputably the GOAT console war (especially considering how good both consoles were), but the early 7th gen console war was easily the funniest, largely thanks to people like chadwardenn, Seth Dub, etc.

I agree with the SNES/Genesis era. There weren't cowardly pimple faced keyboard warriors trolling the internet, saying things they would never say irl. Genesis always had the edge because back then blood in videogames was new and exciting, Mortal Kombat had blood and brutal fatalities on Genesis, and was lame on SNES. Same with games like Robocop vs Terminator. I remember this being a heavy edge in favor of Sega not being a pansy console.

It was the battle of wits at the lunchroom table, good, civilized debate and instruction manuals from the great new game you just got on your console.
